- New England 8-2 (1) - Tom Brady over Peyton Manning just about every time. Book it. By the way, the Manning QBs threw six picks combined on Sunday. Heesh.
- New York Jets 8-2 (2) - The Jets have won three games in a row (good). The Jets have needed OT to beat the Lions and Browns and had to comeback in the final minute to beat the Texans (not good). Whether or not you buy in on New York, Rex Ryan's boys have 8 wins in 10 games.
- Philadelphia 7-3 (3) - Everyone talks about Mike Vick, DeSean Jackson, and the rest of the Eagles offense for good reason. The thing everyone seems to be missing is that the defense isn't bad either. Eli Manning threw three picks against Philly on Sunday and their defense is allows less than 100 yards rushing per game.
- Pittsburgh 7-3 (4) - Did you hear and read the 'experts' that said Oakland could hang with the Steelers? Well, the Raiders did have a 3 - 0 lead on Sunday in Pittsburgh. Then the Steelers went on a 35 - 0 run to end the game.
- Green Bay 7-3 (5) - Aaron Rodgers officially stuck the dagger in Brett Favre's heart on Sunday in Minnesota. The Pack have won 4 straight, are allowing only 14.6 points per game, and some how are behind Chicago in the NFC North.
- Baltimore 7-3 (8) - The Ravens beat the Panthers. That's all that matters, right? I shouldn't pay attention to the fact that Carolina's Brian St. Pierre got his team within 10 points in the second half. In fact, no one pay attention to that, just keep acting like this Ravens defense is as good as they have been.
- Atlanta 8-2 (7) - I keep trying to get the Falcons higher in the poll, but they haven't beaten anyone.
- New Orleans 7-3 (9) - Don't look now but Saints QB Drew Brees leads the league in TD passes (22) and New Orleans has Dallas, Cincinnati, and St. Louis up on the docket. The champs are rolling.
- Indianapolis 6-4 (6) - Down 31 - 14 to New England Peyton Manning almost brought his Colts all the way back. Had Indy won this game I would have ranked Peyton, not the Colts, in the top 4.
- Chicago 7-3 (NR) - Nope. The Bears couldn't beat a single team on this list. Keep in mind they have the Eagles at Solider Field on Sunday.
