- New England 11-2 (1) - Remember when there was a question about which team was the best in the National Football League? After getting blasted by the Browns, New England has been unstoppable on offense. The scary part? The Pats D is playing better too.
- Atlanta 11-2 (2) - Admit it, you don't think a team should even be ranked two out of respect for New England. The Falcons should have Dome field advantage in the NFC, which could lead to Philadelphia v. Atlanta for the NFC title. How obvious will it be that Roger Goodell will not allow for that? Blatantly obvious or beyond blatantly obvious?
- New Orleans 10-3 (4) - In two weeks the Saints and the Falcons will play with everything on the line. Until then, I don't know if I buy either of them.
- Pittsburgh 10-3 (3) - This team is flirting with injuries it seems like on every play. Offensive line issues, Ben Roethlisberger's nose/knee/foot, defensive line issues. At some point there has to be a breaking point, figuratively and literally, right?
- Philadelphia 9-4 (7) - Sunday, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!
- New York Giants 9-4 (NR) - Eagles v. Giants at the New Meadowlands, 1 p.m. This time it's for all the NFC East marbles.
- Baltimore 9-4 (8) - Finally, the Ravens had a game in which their opponent was not only just out of the playoff picture, they had huge holes all over the defense. What does Baltimore do in said game? They go to OT with Houston! Say what you want, this is not a Super Bowl team.
- Chicago 9-4 (6) - I'm not punishing the Bears for getting whooped up on by New England. Quite frankly, it's almost not fair to have to play the Pats right now. Actually, after Minnesota's egg laid on Monday in Detroit against New York (still weird to write that) and the Packers season collapsing, I'll go ahead and give Chicago the NFC North right now.
- Jacksonville 8-5 (NR) - Did you know that the Jaguars are second in rushing in the NFL? That's why they have 8 wins and control of the AFC South. Did you know that the Jaguars are 29th in passing? That's why they'll probably still lose on Sunday at Indy and miss the playoffs!
- N/A - First time all year, but really, who are you putting here? The Jets? C'mon! Kansas City? No way. There just isn't a team that fits the label of 10th best. In fact, there really isn't a team that fits the 9 or 8 spot either.
